New owner seeks quick flip for former Florida Culinary Institute building in West Palm Beach

For years, the Florida Culinary Institute was visible to motorists passing 45th Street on Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach. Now, the 30,000-square-foot building is on the market.

In August, Tambone Cos. and Catalfumo Development paid $15.75 million for the buildings at 2400 and 2410 Metrocentre Blvd. The larger building, a 70,000-square-foot structure that was home to Lincoln College of Technology, has been leased to engineering firm Belcan.

The smaller structure, at 2400 Metrocentre, is on the market. There’s no official asking price, said broker Kevin McCarthy of Colliers International.

He envisions and office building or medical space.

“We’re casting a wide net,” McCarthy said.

The site includes 4 acres of land, enough space for new development, he said.
