Richard P. Tambone
President, Owner

Richard Tambone has a background in successful entrepreneurship centered in the real estate development business in South Florida, the Southwest and the Greater Boston markets. From a family heritage long established in the real estate development business in New England, Mr. Tambone launched his first development business in 1981 in South Florida, Tambone Real Estate Development Corporation, a full-service development firm specializing in the building and ownership of Class "A" office/research, retail and industrial facilities. Founded on the premise of an "Open Book Policy" leveraging Tambone’s team-based, fast-track system, Tambone Real Estate Development quickly became one of South Florida’s premier commercial developers, building and acquiring over 10 million square feet of space for a diverse group of Fortune 500 companies including Motorola, Inc., Wackenhut Corporation and Sony Professional Products, Inc.

Recognizing the development potential represented by The North American Free Trade Agreement, in 1996 Tambone expanded to the U.S./Mexico border trade market with industrial build-to-suits in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Since that time, over three million square feet of industrial space has been built at the Santa Teresa Business Center. In addition, Tambone has developed two other industrial parks on 875 acres. Some of the projects and clients in the New Mexico and Texas developments include ADC Telecommunications, Fedex Trade Networks, Level 3 Communications, The May Department Stores and Siemens Automotive.

Due to the growing industrial activity and Tambone’s emerging national presence, Mr. Tambone, along with his wife Lori, founded Tambone Investment Group, Incorporated headquartered in the Boston suburb of Burlington, Massachusetts. Tambone Investment Group is a full-service real estate development organization focused on acquiring and developing industrial and residential facilities in the Greater Boston area.

Mr. Tambone is a 1975 Graduate of Stetson University in Deland, Florida, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He is active in several charitable organizations including the organization and sponsorship of the annual golf tournament for The Agassiz Village for Children in Maine, a summer camp for underprivileged children from the Boston Area. In addition, Mr. Tambone and his organization are active in numerous national and local professional organizations.

Mr. Tambone is married and enjoys spending time with his wife Lori and their two children. He is a board member of Lexington Youth Soccer, and coaches both youth soccer and baseball in his home town of Lexington, Massachusetts.
